The website and these terms
Your Tech Tool is an independent website project maintained in Montréal, Québec, Canada. These terms apply to its website, tools and original content. Read them together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree to these terms, stop using the website.
Permitted use
The tools are free for lawful personal and professional tasks. You are responsible for having permission to process the material you select and for checking that a tool and its output suit your purpose. Keep original files and independently verify results that affect important decisions.
Do not disrupt or overload the website, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious content, evade security controls or infringe another person’s rights. Reasonable linking to public pages is welcome.
Your input and output
You retain the rights you hold in your input. Using a tool does not transfer those rights to the maintainer. We do not claim ownership of the documents, images, text or other results you generate from your own material. Your use of third-party material and output remains subject to its existing rights and applicable law.
Most tools process inputs locally. Some settings and productivity data are saved in your browser, and optional network tests contact external services. Details are in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for protecting your device and any downloaded or copied results.
Availability and accuracy
Tools and reference content are provided for general utility and information. Features may change or become unavailable, and errors or browser limitations can occur. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free results, particular search rankings, or acceptance of generated files by another organization.
Calculators do not replace medical, financial or other qualified advice. Passport-photo output is a formatting aid and is not officially certified. Read the limitations on each tool page and the Disclaimer.
Your legal rights and responsibility
To the extent applicable law permits, the site is supplied as available without a promise that it will meet every individual requirement. Any limitation of responsibility in these terms applies only where lawful. Nothing here excludes a mandatory legal warranty, limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited, or removes consumer, privacy or other non-waivable rights.
Original content and third-party licenses
The website’s original branding, design and written material are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. Except where permission or law allows, obtain permission before redistributing that original material. Facts, permitted quotation, your own input and output, and rights granted by third-party licenses are not restricted by this paragraph.
The site includes third-party and open-source libraries, fonts and model assets. Their copyright notices and licenses are retained with the relevant assets. Those licenses govern the covered components and take precedence over these terms for those components; these terms do not revoke open-source permissions.
External services and advertising
The speed test, optional ISP lookup and links to external sites involve independent services with their own conditions and policies. We do not control their availability or content. Google advertising and Analytics are disabled in this version; any future activation must be described in the Privacy Policy and use required consent controls.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms. The revision date identifies the current text. Material changes will be indicated on the affected page, and any notice or consent required by law will still apply. New terms do not remove rights or remedies that already arose under mandatory law.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to mandatory laws and protections that apply to you. This choice does not deprive you of non-waivable consumer or privacy rights, or prevent you from bringing a claim in a court or before an authority available to you under applicable law.
