Testing tools for your connection, keyboard and display

Find out whether a problem is the connection, the keyboard or the screen before you replace anything. Each test runs in your browser, and none needs an account. Browser tests are good indicators, but they measure what the browser can see, so each description below says what that is.

Choose by the job you need to do

Start with the task, then check the tool’s limits before relying on a result.

Check how fast your connection is

Measures download, upload, ping, jitter and ping under load against Cloudflare. It can use hundreds of megabytes, so avoid it on a metered plan, and use Ethernet for the fairest result.

Find a key that does not respond

Press each key and see whether it registers. A key that never lights up may be a hardware fault, a layout setting or a shortcut the operating system intercepts before the browser sees it.

See what your display reports and how smoothly it animates

Shows the screen and viewport sizes your browser reports and measures animation frame delivery. Zoom, operating-system scaling and multiple monitors change the readings, and they do not confirm the panel’s native resolution.

Measure what the browser can observe

A browser result includes the effects of the device, browser, operating system and connection used for the test. Compare repeatable conditions: the same computer, a quiet network and the same browser window. A single number does not diagnose every hardware or network problem.

The speed test starts real transfers to Cloudflare only when you run it. The optional ISP lookup starts a separate request. Keyboard and display checks run locally, but operating-system shortcuts, display scaling and background tabs can affect their readings.
