How this speed test works
The test runs three short measurements directly in your browser. First it sends a series of small requests to measure ping (latency) and jitter (how consistent that latency is). Then it opens several parallel connections to measure real download throughput, followed by upload throughput. Using multiple parallel connections better reflects how streaming, downloads and video calls actually use your connection, instead of relying on a single slow stream.
Results depend on more than your internet plan — Wi-Fi signal strength, router placement, VPNs, other devices on the network and even the browser you use can all affect the numbers you see.
