Graphing Calculator

Plot as many functions of x as you like on one graph. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, hover to trace exact values, and download the graph as a PNG for school, work or research — no signup, nothing uploaded.

Hover or tap the graph to read values.

Drag to pan · scroll or pinch to zoom. With the graph focused: arrow keys pan, + and − zoom, 0 resets.

How to graph a function online

Type a formula using x in any row, for example x^2-4, and the curve is drawn instantly in that row's colour. Use the swatch to hide or show a function, and add as many as you need to compare them. Angles are in radians; for degrees write sin(x*pi/180).

You typeMeaning
x^2, x^3Powers. 2^x and e^(-x^2) also work.
sqrt(x), cbrt(x), abs(x)Square root, cube root and absolute value.
sin, cos, tanTrig functions, plus asin, acos, atan, sinh, cosh and tanh.
ln(x), log(x), log2(x)Natural, base-10 and base-2 logarithms.
2x, 3sin(x), (x+1)(x-1)Implicit multiplication is understood.
pi, eThe constants π and e.
floor, ceil, round, sign, expStep and exponential functions.

Download your graph as a PNG for school, work and research

Once the graph shows the region you need, click Download PNG to save it as a high-quality image. Keep “White background” ticked for documents and printing, or untick it for a dark graph. Typical uses:

  • Homework, lab reports and exam revision notes
  • Research papers, theses and posters
  • Work reports, spreadsheets and presentation slides
  • Word, Google Docs, Google Slides and PowerPoint
  • Blog posts, websites and teaching materials

Graphing calculator FAQ

Does the graphing calculator use degrees or radians?

Radians. Trigonometric functions such as sin(x) and cos(x) treat x as radians, which is the standard for graphing. To plot in degrees, write sin(x*pi/180).

Can I graph a circle or other equations that are not y = f(x)?

This calculator plots functions of the form y = f(x). For a circle of radius 3, plot the two halves: sqrt(9-x^2) and -sqrt(9-x^2).

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Every expression is calculated and drawn in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored.

Can I download the graph as an image for school, work or research?

Yes. Click Download PNG to save the current graph as an image you can insert into homework, lab reports, research papers, theses, Word or Google Docs, spreadsheets and slide presentations. Pan and zoom first so the graph shows exactly the region you need.
